Zenobia never reached her destination. Built in Sweden in 1979. In the first half of 1980, she set off from Malmö on her maiden voyage to Tartous in Syria. As a ferry, Zenobia was carrying tractors and several cargoes. Without any obstacles, it reached the Mediterranean while flowing through Gibraltar. The first stop was on Crete, and the second stop in Athens in the famous port of Piraeus. However, on the way to Athens, the captain discovered the problem. It turned out that the excess water was incorrectly pumped to the side ballast tanks. The ship sailed to Larnaca in Cyprus on June 2, 1980. The problem with pumping water repeated itself and Zenobia was directed 1.5 miles from the port, where she stood at the anchor. Invited engineers found a software error in the computerized ship, and when Zenobia began to tilt dangerously to the port side, the captain decided to evacuate the crew. At 2:30 on the night of 7 June 1980, Zenobia sank in the bay of Larnaca Bay and rests at a depth of 42 meters, on the sandy bottom. Lying so for years without moving on the port side, it has become one of the best wrecks for diving.

The trip was planned so that by flying out on Friday afternoon and returning on Monday evening we can enjoy 4 dives on Zenobia.
In the afternoon it will be time to stroll around Larnaca, feel the atmosphere of the city and hope to enjoy the pleasant weather. Last year's reconnaissance made us know where to eat and have a nice evening.
We will be accommodated at San Remo Hotel http://www.sanremo.com.cy/HOME or Flamingo Beach Hotel, https://flamingohotelcyprus.com/ in Larnaca, these are not Hayatt or Hilton hotels, but they have a good price. It should be ok for a few days
The hotels are located very close to the CN, by the beach and 10 minutes drive from Larnaca Airport. Each of the rooms is air-conditioned. On their premises there is a bar and a restaurant serving tasty breakfasts.

             Landing in Warsaw 22:55, return to Gdansk,

For the trip we invite divers from the powers of AOWD. Deep Diver is welcome, it will allow you to enjoy the greater part of the wreck. There is a possibility to organize diving for technical divers.
